This 90 minute training will review the Georgia policies for involuntary transport and commitment of a client who presents a danger to themselves or others, as defined by the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). Specific steps involved in executing an order for "1013" mental health involuntary transport and "2013" substance abuse involuntary transport will be covered. Best practices in coordination of services between local law enforcement and emergency receiving, evaluation and treatment facilities will be reviewed.
